I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Thompson in Playa del Carmen, and it was a refreshing experience that hit the right notes for my culinary cravings. The hotel's C Grill, a seafood-centric restaurant, caught my attention immediately. I indulged in a beautifully plated fish that was fresh and cooked to perfection - a tribute to the local ocean resources. The ambiance at C Grill was also notable; it struck a balance between relaxed yet elegant, making it perfect for a laid-back evening after a day in the sun. We didn't miss a chance to revel in the beachfront lounge, where we sipped drinks while enjoying the vibrant sunsets. The double daybeds were a great touch, providing the ideal spot to unwind with my family. The Thompson really nailed the balance between comfort and culinary innovation. We were charmed by attentive staff who catered to our varying needs throughout our stay. While there was a minor hiccup with billing that remains unresolved, it didn't overshadow the delightful dining experiences we shared. I'd definitely recommend this boutique hotel to anyone looking for a beachside retreat with a focus on good food.
